1936 Ford pickup (extended cab)
After the dry lakes inspired design that I recently shared, I decided to play with the reimagined idea of doing another tilt opening rear side window concept but on a pickup with an extended cab instead. This truck (regular cab) has been featured on Hot Rod and I always liked it — but also I know that when one channels a cab over a frame this dramatically AND chops the roof this much that there isn’t much room left inside other than for a twisted pretzel driving position at best. Best solution is to extend the cab. But instead of doing it like how everyone else does, I decided to make the rear cab section look as if from a 5-window business coupe with its rounded profile. Not much changed otherwise aside for the color and putting a set of pin-drive magnesium Indycar wheels with knockoffs upon it.
