[1954] At an event on Lockbourne Air Force Base in Columbus, Ohio — the Franco Scaglione designed Alfa Romeo B.A.T. (Berlina Aerodinamica Tecnica) #5 was shown adjacent to the GM Le Sabre concept by the icon designer Harley Earl at General Motors. Very interesting on the comparison between European / Italian -vs- American design by two of the most influential designers of that time period.
