Ferrari 250LM Curva Grande

Ferrari 250LM Curva Grande

[current] “Coda Lunga” project is now called “Curva Grande” (a memorable curve at the Monza racetrack in Italy). Also I should note that this project is slowly turning into reality and will be in my own home garage sooner than later. It will not use an original engine and I should add that it will integrate A/C which is mandatory for use in Arizona for a street driven vehicle.

[prior] Given the astronomical value of vintage Ferrari’s, nobody modifies them like friends and relatives did decades ago. I was in the restoration industry and restored a 250LM for Pebble Beach and occasional street use — and was also heavily exposed to them as a kid. Absolutely beautiful car and still one of my all-time favorites. My version isn’t an “exact copy” — it is my own imagineered vision of what potentially a long tail (Coda Lunga) could have possible been (and it will include a modern drivetrain and wheels). Of course I made a few other minor changes for ingress and visibility purposes — these are not easy to see out of nor get in/out of the cockpit!

[note] Yes — the wheelbase is longer than factory but required for cockpit space requirements and the engine / gearbox setup to be utilized.
