More 250LM restorations details from 10+ years ago.
note: On a Ferrari 250LM, the water from the rear mounted engine goes to the front radiator through very long steel tubes — and those tubes are integrated into the frame itself. One picture shows some of the tubing removed and corrosion within. How do you replace the frame tube without it all coming apart or changing original frame specification relating to body mounting, suspension points and more? Never a fun project. Remember what these cars are valued at today and mistakes obviously aren’t tolerated… there are no “do overs”.
