1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 ‘Flying Star’

One of the highlights from the carrozzeria of Touring of Milan is this spectacular bodied Alfa Romeo 6C 1750. Memorable car and it was a show winner when originally built and even today at modern concours d’elegance events.

A friend awhile back asked me to change a few things to help him visualize for his own project. Lowered headlights, disc wheels with outer attachment points and to remove the (heavy) double spare tire setup out back. He has a spare engine / gearbox from a 1960’s era 6C 2300 series that will be utilized for his project that is already underway to recreate this. When he first saw this in the old Alfa Romeo books — he was transfixed long ago. When the current owners of the original Alfa brought it to Pebble Beach in 2005 — he knew he had to have one himself.
