1940 Tatra T87 Mille Miglia Spyder
What if the Czechoslovak manufacturer took its Tatra 87 aerodynamic 4-door sedan and decided to go racing at the Mille Miglia — what would they build based upon that unique rear engine air-cooled platform?
Obviously the aerodynamics would be a major component of the design. It would retain a single rear fin for aerodynamic stability like the larger sedan. A shorter wheelbase 2-seater form assists with the cornering at racing speeds. And it would be in a spyder form for lighter weight and because they are cooler (literally and figuratively) -vs.- an enclosed coupe.
