1940 BMW 328 Mille Miglia
Although built only as a roadster for racing pre-WWII, I always wondered what these would look like with a larger door opening, better windscreen and a roof structure when needed. (and a few other mods)note: Given the value of these unique BMW 328MM’s (EU $6-10M) — I doubt anyone would modify an original.
Post war when one of the original cars was modified to RHD, a new grille added and slathered in white paint it was called a “Frazer-Nash” and shown at the London Auto show. William Lyon of Jaguar fame credited this design as the inspiration for what became his famous Jaguar XK120 roadster.
